Having lived in Africa, Europe and North America, Tess Anne is strongly influenced by the diverse social practices of her multicultural encounters . This profoundly informs her art. Her process integrates an intuitive approach that reflects current social issues, offering us an opportunity to acutely focus our awareness in the world as we find it.

With her pieces Tess expresses her concern with our increasing interdependence.

Our personal actions accumulate in the strata of society creating distortions. Her work reflects the anomalies that redefine our social constructs and eventually, our world.

Tess invites us to see the world differently, and because truth is often relative uses her images to look beneath the surface in an attempt to see what's really there.

Tess Anne uses her paintings as well as sculptural installations and digital art to examine our cultural experience asking: how do our individual decisions inform our culture? what defines us as societies? how does this make our world? and where does individual responsibility lie?

She invites the viewer to a similar consideration and investigation.
